Scripture on the Embryo Breath, By the Supreme Jade Emperor

The
Heavenly Lord Jade Emperor says:
高上玉皇云
The
Embryo is formed by the concretion of concealed Breath;
₡
〇胎與鼻對
〇然胎自能息
〇息者自心也 小兒也
〇譯文云 那初生如嬰似煙不能顯化的氣息將凝而固
〇於此時中
〇欲免其殤
〇只有從伏氣中
〇緩解那將凝而固 不能氤氳的部分
〇使其Vitality(有生氣有活力)

〇而那個與之觀照的鼻
〇自當伏藏不動
〇不能揠苗助長
and
the Embryo being brought into existence,
the
Breath begins to move in Respiration.

〇胎的本體 內裏既存
〇而呼吸之生理始生
〇鼻與之應 是應先天之理
₡₡
〇鼻神也 胎氣也
〇神氣相應
〇故言而有徵 有向背也
₡₡₡
〇此進入二元向背之人元層次
〇所謂萬神圭旨(Endowment and Vitality)
〇盡在此氣象中
〇這就是生氣(Vitality)的因道門(Endowment)
〇鼻神取到了引出的作用
₡₡₡₡
〇神 說文曰 天神 引出萬物者也
〇人爲萬物之母 則當從胎下生
〇故胎息者 中文大辭云
珠在蚌中 修練者當自鼻中引炁而閉之 助其氤氳也 此謂服氣(伏氣)
〇以上言 胎從伏氣中結
氣從有胎中息。
〇是鼻引胎食 非鼻自息也

〇何謂萬神
〇鼻者始也
〇鼻神引胎神
〇鼻息引胎息
〇調動所有器官細胞
〇此即萬神

The
entrance of Breath into the body is Life; the departure of the Spirit from the
external form is Death.
He who understands the Spirit and the Breath
may live for ever; he who rigorously maintains the Empty and Non-existent may
thereby nourish the Spirit and the Breath.
When the Spirit moves the Breath moves; when
Spirit is still the Breath is still.
If you desire to attain to immortality, the
Spirit and the Breath must be diffused through one another.
If the Heart is perfectly devoid of thoughts
-- neither going nor coming, issuing nor entering -- it will dwell permanently
within of its own accord.
Be diligent in pursuing this course; for it is
the true road to take.
胎從伏氣中結,氣從有胎中息。氣入身來謂之生,神去離形謂之死。知神氣可以長生,故守虛無以養神氣。神行即氣行,神住即氣住。若欲長生,神氣相注。心不動念,無來無去,不出不入,自然常在。勤而行之,是真道路。
